I am a mixed-media textile artist exploring the body and theories of the abject within horror, feminism, and psychoanalysis. I work predominantly through process as I am constantly exploring new methods and combinations of unusual materials that instigate feelings of uncanniness and provoke unsettlement.  

Materiality is a key factor of my practice; I would liken myself to an alchemist as I explore the properties of latex and its boundaries. Latex has an intriguing way of depicting the flesh, and when composed with stockings and stuffing, it makes for an abstracted yet undeniably human visual and tactile experience. These works have an autobiographical narrative deriving from my own discomforts but have overtones of surrealism and absurdity.
